Artforms Gallery is Carlow's first professional art gallery and is host to many top Irish artists and sculptors such as Bridget Flannery, Laurence O'Toole, Brock Butler, Gerard Casey, Kenneth Donfield, Malachy Costello, Brian O'Loughlin, John O'Connor to name but a few. There will be solo and group shows throughout the year, so we look forward to connecting with art lovers on a regular basis, providing them with new and innovative art. At Artforms Gallery commissions with artists and designers can be arranged, ideas shared and projects worked out for any particular clients needs. We also stock a range of beautiful designer jewellery and ceramics, with something to suit everyone’s taste and pocket. Another very important aspect of Artforms Gallery is our art and craft education programme which is currently being developed. There are five painting and drawing classes being run every week at the gallery. This programme will be developed to include many other classes such as creative writing, printing, batik, watercolour, enameling, portfolio classes and special classes for children and teenagers with more in the pipeline. Anyone can attend the classes - even if you haven’t had a paint brush in your hand before!

I have worked as an artist and art teacher in the Carlow area for the past nine years, travelling between community centres and the many different groups who require art teaching services. I saw a niche in the market for offering a more comprehensive art service based in one location. Hence, I have opened Artforms Gallery in Carlow.
All in all, this is a very exciting time for art and artists in the Carlow and surrounding areas. Carlow is being put on the map as the cultural centre for the South East of Ireland. There is such a wealth of talent out there, and since we have opened our doors at Artforms Gallery, the floodgates of creativity have flowed constantly - we are just beginning to tap into this amazing source of creative energy.
